Lego announced on their Facebook page earlier today that they would be bringing a range of figures known as BrickHeadz to market in 2017. As well as the Captain America and Iron Man pictured above, there’s also the further six models shown below. For those lucky enough to be going to San Diego Comic Con next week, you’ll be able to pick them up ahead of their general release.
These remind me of the Funko Pop range of figures which are a very popular collectible, so it could just be Lego trying to get a piece of that action. They’re also very similar to a Lego Ideas project – Avengers Blockheads – which doesn’t seem to have gained much support despite looking better than these with their posable heads.
The price for a pair of these at Comic Con looks like it’ll be $40 US, which seems like a high premium to pay for something you can probably build yourself with a basic box of bricks. Hopefully the final retail price is lower.
